How Swaps Are Proposed
Members search the site for items they would like to acquire. When a member finds an item they want, they can click the “Propose Swap” tab and the details of their own items appear in the window. The member then ticks an item(s) they want to swap, adds any points to the swap if these are needed, then clicks the “Propose Swap” button.
Members can offer items, items plus points, or just points if they have enough. The points value of the proposed swap does not have to match exactly, it is up to the item’s owner as to whether they want to accept the members swap.
When the swap is proposed, details of the item appear automatically in the item owners “Swaps Offered” window. The items owner can decide to accept the swap if they wish.
How Swaps Are Made
Item owners view items that have been proposed for swap in their “Swaps Offered” window. The item owner then chooses to accept, or decline the item(s) offered. If they accept a swap, both parties gain access to each other’s address details to arrange delivery of the items swapped.
Confirming A Successful Swap
When each party receives their swap item, they confirm the status of the transaction in their “Swaps Made” window.
If you receive goods that you feel do not meet our standard terms then Login to your My Zone, select Swaps Made, locate the item in question and click the Red Flag to begin the complaints procedure. This procedure will notify the sender of the disputed goods that there is a dispute, give them the opportunity to retrieve or replace the goods with another item, and if returned, will credit your account with the appropriate points. Read the disputes procedure in our Terms & Conditions for more details.
You can choose to swap goods with any other member across the United Kingdom, or just within My Community. My Community is a list of members that you create yourself. It’s ideal for members who only want to swap with a specific group of mates.
